Buenos Aires, March 3 (NA) – The first trailer for the highly anticipated film 'Scary Movie 6' has been released, featuring the entire original cast. It is filled with references to recent horror cinema and a nod to the acclaimed film 'Sinners'. According to the Argentine News Agency, the film is set to hit all theaters on June 12, and due to the release schedule, it may be available in Argentina a day earlier, on Thursday, June 11. Under the premise of being 'terrifically incorrect', director Marlon Wayans' project begins the trailer with an irony about the 'abuse of pronouns' in the United States, showing one of the heroines being stabbed by Ghostface, and when a witness points her out, he explains that he must refer to her as 'elle'. The clip also shows numerous nods to the most memorable horror films of recent times; such as Jason from 'Friday the 13th', the killer from 'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre', the doll Megan, and the iconic Ghostface from 'Scream'. In addition to plots similar to those of 'Halloween', 'Ma', 'Sinners', 'Everything Everywhere All at Once', 'Run', 'Smile', 'The Disappearance', and 'Substance'. All set to the music of Eminem's classic 'The Real Slim Shady'.
This sixth installment marks the official reunion of the entire original cast, with the return of the Wayans brothers—Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory—and the iconic duo of Anna Faris and Regina Hall.
Confirmed returning cast: Anna Faris (Cindy Campbell) Regina Hall (Brenda Meeks) Marlon Wayans (Shorty Meeks) Shawn Wayans (Ray Wilkins) Dave Sheridan (the iconic Officer Doofy) Cheri Oteri (Gail Hailstorm) Chris Elliott (Hanson, the one with the 'little hand' in part 2) Jon Abrahams (Bobby Prinze) Lochlyn Munro (Greg Phillip)
